Getting the most from our Accessibility Toolbar

Karibu is committed to celebrating diversity and everyone is welcome. We are committed to providing a fully inclusive and accessible website, allowing all of our visitors to access our content utilising the Reciteme accessibility toolbar.

Our website uses the Reciteme support toolbar to make it easier for you to access information on our website. Here are some examples of the different tools ReciteMe has to assist you.

The toolbar can be accessed by clicking the orange Accessibility button to the top right of every page.

This will open the accessibility toolbar at the top of the screen which will remain open while you browse our website.

Screen Reader

Our screen reader can help our visitors with visual impairments understand what’s written on our website. Providing text to speech can help you access our digital content by reading aloud website text. This can be customised to suit your needs with different voices and reading speeds.

Styling & Customisation

The toolbar technology also allows our visitors to change the way a website looks. You can customise the website's colour scheme as well as the text size and spacing, making it easier to access our content in a way that suits you.

Reading Aids

For some of our visitors reading content online can be challenging. To simplify and support your visit our toolbar has focus tools such as a ruler, a screen mask and a magnifier. There is also a page summariser and a dictionary built in for your convenience.

Translation

For our visitors who do not speak English as their first language our accessibility toolbar can quickly and easily translate all of our web content into over 100 languages (including 65 text to speech voices for the screen reader translation).

All of our pdf downloads can also use the accessibility toolbar to translate the content and use the text to speech facility. To translate pdf files please ensure the Reciteme toolbar is active when clicking the pdf link.

More details on how to use the Accessibility Toolbar can be found in the Reciteme user guide. There is a link to the user guide in the toolbar or you can access by visiting https://reciteme.com/user-guide/
