Keep Communal Areas Clear to Keep Everyone Safe

At Karibu, the safety and wellbeing of all residents is our top priority.

We’re reminding everyone that communal areas—such as hallways, stairwells, landings, and shared entrances—must be kept clear at all times.

Leaving personal items like furniture, bikes, prams, bags, or rubbish in these spaces not only creates obstructions but also poses serious fire risks. These items can block emergency exits and hinder safe evacuation in the event of a fire.

Keeping these areas clear is not just a safety precaution—it’s also part of your tenancy agreement and a legal requirement under fire safety regulations.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Any items found in communal areas will be removed following notice.

  • If we need to cover removal costs, the responsible resident will be charged.

  • Repeated breaches may lead to further action.

We're committed to ensuring that your building remains safe, clean, and accessible for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us maintain high standards.

If you need assistance or want to explore storage options, please get in touch via the My Karibu app or our Connect with Us page.

Let’s work together to keep our shared spaces safe.
