Karibu Residents Invited to Annual Resident Conference 2026 in Ickenham
Karibu Community Homes is delighted to invite residents to attend our Annual Resident Conference 2026, taking place on Saturday 12 September 2026 at Ickenham Village Hall, Uxbridge.

Following the success of last year's conference in Harrow, we are excited to bring residents together once again for a day of connection, engagement, celebration and community spirit.
The conference provides a valuable opportunity for residents to meet fellow residents, share their views, hear important updates, and connect with Karibu staff, Board Members and contractors in a welcoming and informal environment.

Welcome Back – and Welcome Along!
If you attended our previous Resident Conferences in Harrow or Ealing, we would like to thank you for your support and participation. Your feedback and involvement help shape the services we provide, and we would be delighted to welcome you back again this year.
For residents attending for the first time, we look forward to meeting you and hearing your views on how we can continue to improve our services and strengthen our communities.
Why Hillingdon?
This year's conference is being held in Hillingdon because it is the borough where Karibu has the highest number of homes. By hosting the event there, we hope to make attendance easier for many residents while continuing our commitment to engaging with communities across all the neighbourhoods we serve.
Getting There
The venue is easy to reach by public transport. The nearest London Underground station is Ickenham Station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, which is within walking distance of the venue. Local bus routes also serve the area.
Residents travelling by car can take advantage of nearby parking, and Karibu will reimburse reasonable parking costs incurred for attending the conference.
Disabled residents who require transport assistance via taxi or Uber are asked to retain their receipts and email them to housing@karibu.org.uk after the event. Reimbursement will be arranged by bank transfer once receipts have been verified.
Limited Spaces Available
Due to insurance requirements, attendance is limited to 150 residents. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage residents to reserve their place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Organised by our dedicated Residents Planning Committee, the conference will offer an opportunity to:
- Meet and network with fellow residents
- Connect with Karibu staff, particularly from our Housing, Repairs and Income teams
- Speak with attending Board Members and contractors
- Hear important updates about services and communities
- Share feedback and ideas
- Enjoy a fun, informative and engaging day
We are looking forward to bringing residents together for another successful conference and celebrating the strength of our Karibu community.
