Support and Activities for Carers in Ealing - September 2025

Support and Activities for Carers in Ealing - September 2025

At Karibu, we know many of our residents provide care and support to loved ones. You may not think of yourself as a carer, but if you help or support a partner, friend, or family member, then you are a carer.

This could be a formal or informal arrangement, and you don’t need to be in receipt of any benefits (such as Carers Allowance) to be recognised as one.

That’s why we’re sharing some fantastic opportunities from the Ealing Carers Partnership – giving you the chance to connect with others, focus on your wellbeing, and take part in free activities.

☕ Online Carers Café

An informal online space to chat with other carers, share experiences, and get support.

✍🏾 Poetry Workshops (Online)

Led by carer Matthew Mckenzie, these sessions use prompts and ideas to inspire your writing. No experience needed, and you don’t have to share your work unless you’d like to.

📖 Poetry Workshops (In Person) – West Ealing Library

Meet other carers in person and enjoy guided creative writing followed by tea and coffee.

🌿 Free Somatic Coaching for Unpaid Carers

Take time for yourself with one-to-one coaching sessions designed to support unpaid carers. Certified Somatic Coach Sarah Howells will:

  • Guide you through short mindfulness practices

  • Give you a safe space to be heard

  • Help you focus on what matters most to you
